D’Amico Celebrates Family and Friends

The table was a photogenic combination of cacti and roses.

No one throws a perkier party for their supporters and influencers than D’Amico Catering. The latest D’Amico Family Dinner, complete with an enviable Palm Spring vibe, was held at Loring Social at the end of February when the snow on the street was still as high as an elephant’s eye.

Inside, however, was a pink door and cactus-inspired wonderland, where the adult drinks were served in plastic pouches with colorful straws threaded through the tops. And the table was set with succulents as a napkin “ring” holding the night’s succulent menu (two different definitions of that word, fortunately).

The menu, which showcases some of the chef’s newest items, included lemongrass panna cotta, tiny tacos paired with Asian pear margaritas, and gnocchi with truffled cream, wild mushroom and kale.

If only we could have passed through the rose-colored door and found ourselves in Palm Springs. Some miracles even a great caterer can’t conjure up.

A tiny vintage camper, transformed into a
photo booth by Northerly, provided one of
three spots for social media, including a pink
door surrounded by succulents.

While the Twin Cities was on ice, so was the bubbly.

Adult beverages served milkman style.
