The Moral Omnivore is taking over the spot vacated by Flagsmash at Graze, a food hall in the North Loop.
Hamburguesas El Gordo is opening its third Twin Cities location at Selby and Victoria in the former Tori Ramen spot. Tori Ramen has moved to the former Chicago’s Taste Authority building.
The North Loop has another posh spot: Stilheart Distillery and Cocktail Lounge, a collaboration between Bittercube and Lawless Distilling. Squeezed into two levels, a main floor and lower, its a bar, not a restaurant.
Mango Mango Dessert has opened in Dinkytown, with a focus on Hong Kong-themed desserts and other food offerings.
And in time for Pi Day March 14, Pie & Mighty is opening on Chicago Avenue in Minneapolis. They sell seasonable pies in two sizes, as well as pie slices and coffee.
On Lyndale Avenue, Unleashed Hounds and Hops has opened its indoor-outdoor dog park so dog owners can drink with their best friends.
In Robbinsdale, Basement Bar has opened its doors, soon to be followed by Travail restaurant.
Rustica Bakery is opening its second location, adding a spot at Southdale Center to complement its location near Bde Maka Ska.
The Naughty Greek has opened its third location, and the first one in Minneapolis, in the Capella Tower Skyway. Each of the three locations has its own style of dining, and the skyway location will cater to office workers needing a fast-paced lunch experience.
Trax Burgers and Bar opened in the new Fillmore music venue in Minneapolis’ North Loop. It’s open seven days a week for lunch and dinner.
Wahlburgers, a franchise started by the Wahlberg family (Donnie, Mark and Chef Paul) opened its second Minnesota location, in Maple Grove. Wahlburgers will also be going into nine Hy-Vee locations in the next few months.
