People to Know and Places to Go
In April Cathy Cruz Gooch, president and CEO of Catallia Mexican Foods, in Eagan was inducted into the Minnesota Women Business Owners Hall of Fame. Since the company’s founding in 1985, Cathy has received several regional and national awards. She and her husband, Harold, have lead the development and growth of what began as a home-based tortilla business supplying local grocers to one of the premier producers of authentic Mexican tortillas, serving most of North America. Now into their fourth decade of growth and joined by their children, they continue as leaders in food manufacturing holding the highest safety credentials, increasing capacity and continually introducing emerging technologies to improve operations. The same level of excellence is provided to their customers, coworkers and local communities, including their Catallia Cares program.
In May I got to be on site for both Daly & DeRoma and North Star Agency’s client photo shoots for their CenterPoint Energy Rebate ads. Both Foodservice directors Mary Mueller of Fridley schools and Roxanne Williams of Carver County schools made it clear how much they appreciate and rely on their rep groups to keep them optimally equipped for the volumes their operations serve.
