People to Know and Places to Go

I was honored to be asked to present in the Connection Corner series at Hospitality Minnesota Expo’s exhibit hall on October 5. We examined the aspects of print advertising’s unique advantages.  Best of all though is weaving print and digital marketing. It's creating all kinds of new customer engagement. For instance, it’s now easier than ever for customers to capture your restaurant on the app as soon as your print ad/coupon/postcard/billboard catches their eye.

BERRY COFFEE is flying high! Recently, founder Steve Brehm’s house blend became Sun Country airline’s Joe. But it’s under the radar so to speak. The label is MATTERblend.  MATTER.NGO is a local nonprofit that Steve, Berry Coffee and Sun Country Airlines, have supported since its inception in 2000.  Their longstanding effort, and many others, has produced remarkable outcomes. Originally named Hope For The City, the Minneapolis-based company was started by Dennis and Megan Doyle. The nonprofit initially served local communities by leveraging the abundance held in corporate surplus materials for the benefit of those living in scarcity. As passion and performance attracted dozens more partnerships and resources, the mission broadened nationally and then globally. Today with more than $550 million in resources distributed, the goal of creating the world where everyone matters is getting a little closer.

Berry Coffee has grown continually with Steve Brehm’s passion.  What began in his car trunk in 1979 has expanded to 1,500-plus products delivered by a fleet of 20 trucks over 12 delivery routes across the entire Midwest. Following a recent acquisition Berry now offers custom roasting capabilities, widening once again the services of this driven company.
