Applications Open for Techstars Farm to Fork Tech Accelerator

Ecolab, Cargill and Techstars are teaming up for the second session of the Techstars Farm to Fork Tech Accelerator class. The application process is open now through April 7, 2019, for startup companies working to develop tech innovations that address some of the greatest challenges facing the food system.

Now in year two of the program, the Accelerator is seeking new startup participants to develop tech innovations for the food system, with a focus on food safety, quality assurance and security; robotics and automation; tech platforms for food enterprises; and water tech.

Ten companies will be selected to join the class and participate in a 13-week program where they receive mentorship from Ecolab, Cargill and Techstars. In addition they have the opportunity to pitch their business during a demo day for investors, community members and business leaders. 

The program begins July 15 and ends with Demo Day on October 15.

The first class of startups in 2018 included a variety of concepts from restaurant tech to supply chain to manufacturing and digital solutions to farms. The nine concepts were Big Wheelbarrow, Dishq, EIO Diagnostics, Heavy Connect, IFS, Pepr, Renewal Mill, TradeLanes and Traive. In its inaugural year in 2018, more than 100 mentors and 40 venture capital firms worked with nine startups spanning from restaurant tech to supply chain to manufacturing and digital solutions for farms.
