Kids Café 

Monday, December 18; 3 p.m. arrival
Perspectives Family Center: 3381 Gorham Ave., St. Louis Park, MN

The chapter is celebrating 20 years of supporting Perspectives! Help out preparing meals through this nutrition and education program for kids. Volunteers don’t have to be professional chefs, simply those who know how to cook and want to help the chapter. Though not necessary, volunteers are encouraged to try new and interesting dishes for the kids. Chef of the Year Dinner

Sunday, January 21; 4 p.m. cocktail hour, dinner to follow.
Medina Golf and Country Club, 400 Evergreen Road, Medina, MN

Celebrate the Minneapolis ACF chapter and find out the winner of Chef of the Year, along with several other awards, during the annual dinner. Daniel Cleary, the 2016 Chef of the Year, is planning the menu along with his team. 

Ticket prices are $75 per person; table of eight is $500. You can purchase your tickets online using a major credit card through the chapter’s secure PayPal website. Payment can be made at www.paypal.com using acfmcc.gmail.com

Members can purchase one additional guest ticket with the purchase of their own. Other guests must sign up as a Friend of the ACF/MCC to log in to purchase tickets. Tickets must be paid in full before the day of the event.

If you are unable to pay online you must still register online and select “Manual Payment.” Make checks payable to ACF Minneapolis Chef's Chapter. 

Mail checks to: ACF Awards Banquet, C/O Chef Robert Velarde CEC, P.O. Box 28191, Crystal, MN 55428-3271. Checks received 10 days prior to the event will receive a receipt for entrance, otherwise they will be available at will call the night of the event.

Dress attire is clean, pressed chef coat or cocktail attire. Former Chef's of the Year please wear your COY medal.


ACF Regional & National Professional Development Events

The ACF will host three professional development events in 2018: ChefConnect-Charlotte, February 25-27, in Charlotte, North Carolina; ChefConnect-Newport Beach, March 18-20, in Newport Beach, California; and Cook. Craft. Create. ACF National Convention and Show, July 15-19, in New Orleans, Louisiana. Each event includes educational seminars, culinary demonstrations, hands-on workshops, industry exhibits, a career fair and networking opportunities. Detailed event schedules and registration information are available at www.acfchefs.org/events


Monthly Meetings

Meetings are held on the last Tuesday of every month. The December meeting is scheduled for December 26. Visit www.acfmcc.com for information and signup.
