A new partnership between the Minnesota Twins and local restaurant Barrio is bringing Latin cuisine and tequila to Target Field in April.
Construction is underway of a Barrio-branded bar and restaurant that will overlook left field (inside Gate 6), taking the place of a Twins merchandise shop on the bottom level of the Budweiser Roof Deck. The space will include a cabana-style seating area plus a 420-square-foot video display circling the top of the bar.
“We couldn't be more excited to add our flavor to the experience at Target Field,” Ryan Burnet, President of Barrio Restaurant Group, said. “What really excites me about the space is that this is going to create a unique destination within the ballpark that pairs perfectly with summertime.”
Fans will also find $2 beers and $2 rail drinks—plus appetizer specials—at Barrio as part of the Twins’ Thirsty Thursday Nights from 5:30-6:30 p.m. And the bar will open early every Friday night home game with additional specials from 4:30-5:30 p.m.
Barrio will open in time for the Twins home opener April 13. The Twin Cities restaurant group has locations in Minneapolis, St. Paul, Edina and Bloomington.
